For Wednesday, Aug. 27<\/em><\/p>\n

Death investigation<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at about 8:30 a.m., Alaska State Troopers were notified of a search and rescue on the Sunnahae Trail, located in Craig. Investigation revealed that William Alfaro, 72, of California, had collapsed on the trail while deer hunting and was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Craig EMS (Emergency Medical Services), along with Klawock SAR (Search and Rescue) had launched prior to the notification to Alaska State Troopers. Once EMS arrived on scene, Alfaro was pronounced deceased. There were no signs of trauma or foul play. Due to the terrain and remote location, a helicopter was approved and assisted in removing Alfaro from the field. The State Medical Examiner’s Office was notified, and the remains were released to family. Next of kin was on scene.<\/p>\n

Assault<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at about 2 p.m., on Egan Drive, 33-year-old Raymond Coronell was arrested for second-degree and fourth-degree assault on a police officer, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n

Domestic Dispute<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at 3:34 p.m., on Sleepy Court, a 41-year-old woman was arrested for assault (domestic violence) and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

Liquor Violation<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at 5:34 p.m., on Franklin Street, a verbal warning was given about a liquor violation.<\/p>\n

Arrest<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at 7:47 p.m., on the Glacier Highway, 43-year-old Nathan Nichols was arrested on four outstanding Juneau Police Department warrants totaling $200 and was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

Assault<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at 9:41 p.m., on the Douglas Highway, a 52-year-old man reported a 36-year-old man had assaulted him.<\/p>\n

Concealment of Merchandise<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at 11:24 p.m., on Vintage Boulevard, 34-year-old Shiree Smith was cited for concealment of merchandise and released.<\/p>\n

Trespassing<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday at 11:53 p.m., on Vintage Boulevard, 27-year-old Daniel Clayton was cited for trespass and released.<\/p>\n

For Thursday, Aug. 28<\/em><\/p>\n

Death Investigation<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday at 11:47 a.m., investigation was made into the death of a 63-year-old woman. Next of kin has been notified. Circumstances are not considered suspicious.<\/p>\n

Arrest<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday at 12:56 p.m., on the Glacier Highway, 24-year-old Brancon McClearn was arrested on two $50 warrants for failure to appear and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

Arrest<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday at 4:38 p.m., 23-year-old Kyon Moore was arrested on a $75 warrant charging failure to appear on the original charge of driving without a license. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

Driving While Intoxicated<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday at 9:52 p.m., 33-year-old Amanda Hough was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being involved in a motor vehicle collision. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

For Friday, Aug. 29<\/em><\/p>\n

Burglary<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Friday at 7:47 a.m., on Point Lena Loop Road, a 50-year-old man reported a burglary at a business.<\/p>\n

For Saturday, Aug. 30<\/em><\/p>\n

Traffic Stop<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at 12:22 a.m., on Mendenhall Loop Road, 41-year-old Christopher David was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

Domestic Dispute<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at about 12:30 a.m., on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive, a 62-year-old woman reported a 66-year-old man had assaulted her.<\/p>\n

Welfare Check<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at 5:49 a.m., on the Glacier Highway, investigation into the assault of a 28-year-old woman.<\/p>\n

Arrest<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at 10:48 a.m., on Front Street, 58-year-old Michelle Ann Bennett was arrested on a $100 warrant for two counts of violating conditions of release.<\/p>\n

Trespassing<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at 11:46 a.m., on the Glacier Highway, 42-year-old Justin Ridiner was cited for criminal trespass and released.<\/p>\n

Death Investigation\/Homicide<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at about 3 a.m., Alaska State Troopers were notified of a domestic violence related homicide in Metlakatla. AST from Ketchikan responded and secured the scene. Troopers from the Alaska Bureau of Investigation responded to Metlakatla. Investigation revealed that 33-year-old Jade Jordan, of Metlakatla, stabbed 36-year-old Kevin Jordon, resulting in his death. Subsequently, Jade Jordan was arrested for criminally negligent homicide. Next of kin have been notified. The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

Burglary<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at 1:35 p.m., on Kevin Court, a 35-year-old man reported a burglary at a residence.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at about 4:50 p.m., on 12th Street, 44-year-old Jenniver McAllister was arrested for driving without a license and violating conditions of release and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle was impounded.<\/p>\n

Arrest<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday at 6:01 p.m., on the Glacier Highway, 22-year-old Jessica Noffsker was arrested for larceny and vehicle theft.<\/p>\n

For Sunday, Aug. 31<\/em><\/p>\n

Trespassing<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday at 12:36 a.m., on the Glacier Highway, 34-year-old Wesley Pearce was arrested on a $75 Juneau Police Department warrant for failure to appear on the original charges of larceny and violating conditions of release and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n

On Sunday at 1:26 a.m., 36-year-old Scott Bombard was arrested for driving while intoxicated and refusal, then taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.<\/p>\n
